Brooks County Middle School issued the following announcement on Dec. 3.
Dear BCMS Family,
I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving Break and are ready to #LEVELUP these last three weeks before our holiday break.
As I am sure you are aware, the BCMS Administrative Team has experienced some changes within the last few weeks. Mrs. Freeman has moved to the board office as the Special Education Director and 9-12 Curriculum Director. Although we will miss Mrs. Freeman's sage leadership and love for all of us, we are excited for her as she embarks on this next chapter of her career in education. Another person we will miss greatly is Mr. Jenkins, who is now the Early Learning Center Principal. Mr. Jenkins has been an integral facet of BCMS for many years and it is hard to think about these halls without him, but the ELC students are in for a wonderful treat with their new principal.
Finally, the BCMS Administrative Team welcomes Mrs. Harden, previously of the ELC, as a new assistant principal. Coach Love, current head BCMS football coach and former BCMS physical education teacher, will also be joining the administrative team as an assistant principal. I know I speak for Coach Love, Mrs. Harden and myself when I say we are ecstatic and honored to lead Brooks County Middle School through this next phase. Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can help in any way.
Sincerely,
Maura Lewis
BCMS Principal
