Georgia Tech senior guard Michael Devoe landed on the Preseason All-ACC second team.

The official conference media panel voted in the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player and the two-time honorable mention All-ACC choice, an Oct. 19 Georgia Tech press release said.

"The 6-5 Orlando, Florida., native averaged 15.0 points per game overall, which ranked 10th in the ACC, and finished No. 2 in the conference in three-point field goals per game (2.47) and No. 3 in percentage (.412) in league games," the release said.

Last season, Devoe, an adept three-point shooter, helped guide the Yellow Jackets to the conference title and a NCAA tournament berth, both of which are the school’s firsts in quite some time, according to the release.

He enters the 2021-2022 season ranked No. 13 in career three-point field goals (153) and No. 36 in career points (1,149) for Tech, the release said.

Devoe joins a stable of returnees for sixth-year head coach Josh Pastner that also includes senior forward Jordan Usher of Canton, Georgia; senior guard Bubba Parham of Snellville, Georgia; senior forward Khalid Moore, of Briarwood, New York; and junior guard Kyle Sturdivant, of Norcross, Georgia

Tech will begin the upcoming season with a home tilt against Miami of Ohio on Nov. 9.
