Hammonds House Museum launched a new Family Day Program earlier this month.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view the current art exhibition, take part in an art-themed scavenger hunt, hear storytelling from Brenda Griffin of Kuumba Storytellers and other events as well, according to an article on Patch.
"We love seeing the creative ways you capture your visit to Exhibiting Culture: Highlights from the Hammonds House Museum Collection. If you haven’t made it to the show yet, you still have time." Hammonds House Museum wrote in a Sept. 16 Twitter post.
Visitors will be required to follow
"Your safety and the safety of our staff and volunteers are important to us. We have put protocols in place so you can enjoy your Hammonds House Museum experience and feel confident that you are in a safe space," Hammonds House said in a statement, according to Patch.
Family Day takes place every Saturday through January. Online registration is required prior to admission and visitors are encouraged to register early as tickets will be limited.
Hammonds House Museum is supported by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, Fulton County Arts and Culture, the City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, The National Performance Network, AT&T and WarnerMedia.
Th museum's mission is to celebrate and share the cultural diversity and important legacy of artists of African descent. It is located in a Victorian house at 503 Peeples St., Atlanta, the former residence of the late Dr. Otis Thrash Hammonds, a prominent Atlanta physician and passionate arts patron.
