Georgia Tech baseball, fresh off of two ACC Coastal championships, will begin their fall season on Oct. 16, according to a Tech press release.
Their first test will be against Troy of the Sun Belt Conference in an exhibition game. Their second exhibition game will come against UAB of the Conference USA on Oct. 23.
"This fall will be Tech fans’ first chance to see the 2022 Yellow Jackets prior to the spring schedule," the release said. "Georgia Tech returns a talented roster from last years’ division champions, including six of nine starters in the field and a stable of arms on the pitching staff."
Troy finished one game above .500 earlier this year and had a stellar record at home. UAB, meanwhile, will be looking for a rebound season after going 18-36 last year.
A highly anticipated aspect of this season is sure to be the debut of several young Yellow Jackets from Georgia Tech's top 25 recruiting class, which continues to impress and will certainly bolster what is already a very talented Georgia Tech roster, the release said.
