Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport reported serving 108.1 million passengers in 2024, marking the second-highest annual passenger volume in its history. This figure is surpassed only by the airport's 2019 record of 110 million passengers, reinforcing its status as the world's busiest and most efficient airport.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens acknowledged the efforts of the airport staff: “Thanks to the hard work of Interim GM Jan Lennon and the entire team at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the Southeast’s crown jewel once again reigns supreme above the rest.” He added that thousands of City of Atlanta employees contribute to ATL's excellence in travel experience and performance.

Interim General Manager Jan Lennon commented on this achievement: “Surpassing 108 million passengers in 2024 is a testament to Hartsfield-Jackson’s unmatched connectivity, operational excellence, and our relentless commitment to the traveler experience.” She noted plans to reach 125 million annual passengers within five years while focusing on strengthening airline partnerships, expanding capacity, and driving innovations.

In 2024, ATL experienced a 3% increase in total passengers compared to 2023 due to both domestic and international travel expansion. The airport recorded 796,224 takeoffs and landings, reflecting a 2.6% increase in operations from the previous year. Cargo operations also saw a rise with a 6% increase compared to 2023.

As ATL expands its reach, it prioritizes enhancements in customer experience along with investments in terminal modernization, sustainability initiatives, and smart technology. The airport remains committed to maintaining its position as a global leader in air travel efficiency and connectivity.
