From February 4,  2023 post.

Do you know what to do in case of a disaster? Do you have the tools to help yourself, help your family, and help your neighbors?

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is accepting applications for our spring CERT class. The CERT program educates participants about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations. This training will allow CERT members to assist themselves and others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available.

Class size is limited – click to register now! https://forms.office.com/g/KpJntEk8YM

CERT Training will consist of 8 evening classes and one Saturday class. Evening classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. starting March 1 and running through April 26, with Saturday Class and Graduation on April 29 from 10 AM to 2PM. (No class April 5, to observe Fulton County Schools spring break). Classes will be held at RAPSTC (11565 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009).

Registration closes on February 22. Participants must be at least 21 years of age and live in Fulton County. Participants must attend or makeup all classes in order to graduate and receive a CERT Certificate. We look forward to seeing you!
