TRASH / RECYCLING SERVICE UPDATE (12/26/2022 at 8:32 PM): Republic Services will be working throughout the week to get back on the normal service schedule instead of being on a 1-day delay all week. As such, please place your carts at the curb on your usual service day with the understanding that collection of your trash and recycling may not occur until the following day. Republic Service’s goal is to complete all residential trash and recycling collections by the close of business on Friday, December 30, but we cannot predict at this time when during the week they will be back on schedule.
As a reminder, Republic Services suspended service on Friday, December 23, to ensure the safety of their crews in light of the dangerous temperatures and high winds on that day. Those routes were, instead run today, and Republic Services had anticipated having to operate on a 1-day delay for the remainder of the week.
Republic Services understands that many homeowners likely have larger than usual volumes of trash and recyclables due to the holiday, which is why they want to get back onto the usual collection schedule as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as Republic Services works through this process.
