One of the most common causes of car accidents is distracted driving. Drivers often find themselves answering calls and texting while behind the wheel. Texting while driving makes getting into an accident 23% more likely.
Remember that distracted driving is not only dangerous it is also illegal, OCGA 40-6-241.
Help prevent accidents and avoid getting a costly citation by putting the phone down while you're driving. If you must read and respond to that incoming text find a safe place to pull over and do it off the road.
