Lane Closures And Detours On State Route 9 This Sunday
Motorists traveling on State Route 9 between Old Milton Parkway and Brady Place will be impacted by lane closures and detours this Sunday, December 4. Northbound the roadway will be reduced to a single travel lane, while southbound traffic will be detoured around the area. Maxwell Road will also be closed to all traffic between Brady Place and State Route 9.
The closures and detours, which will be in effect from 5:00 AM Sunday until 5:00 AM Monday, are necessary to protect workers and the public as crews install utility poles along the road as part of the Georgia Department of Transportation’s State Route 9 Improvement Project.
On-site signage and police officers will guide drivers and pedestrians through the work zone and detour routes.
Motorists are encouraged to choose alternate routes of travel to avoid the area. Those who do choose to travel on State Route 9 should anticipate heavy travel delays between Old Milton Parkway and Will Road.
