A Morgan County school bus driver is under investigation after being captured on video getting physical with two students on his bus route.
Nequania Carter said her children do not want to go back to school or get on the school bus, a recent FOX 5 Atlanta report said. She noted that her two children—ages 6 and 10—have been traumatized by the incident.
"My son is terrified, he was scared, he called for his older sister as you could hear he was crying…he was horrified...you’re supposed to be protecting him," the mother told FOX 5 Atlanta.
Carter insists this isn't the first time her family has complained about the same bus driver, and she believes he may have targeted her children as some sort of scheme to get back at them; the FOX 5 report said.
Authorities with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said the department is wrapping up its investigation and plans to turn over its findings to the Morgan County assistant district attorney to determine whether they will pursue criminal charges against the driver.
A video of the interaction appeared to show the driver pushing Carters’ 6-year-old son into a seat after he allegedly did not comply with an order to sit in the back of the bus, the report said.
As the investigation continues, Carter noted that she has completely removed her children from the school system while they anxiously await the authorities' decision about where the case goes from here and what will happen with the driver, the report said.
