Over the Memorial Day Weekend, the Sandy Springs Traffic Unit, along with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, conducted a Traffic Enforcement Detail. The detail focused on GA-400 and I-285 as well as city streets. During the detail, they cited several moving violations and traffic arrests. 184 total citations were issued over the weekend.
Some of the citations were for:
• 111 citations for speeding with the speeds ranging from 90-123 MPH
• Move Over Law
• Hands-Free
• Seatbelt Violations
• Drug Arrest
• No Insurance
• No License
• Expired registrations
• Obedience to traffic control device.
We are also happy to report that there were no serious injury or fatal crashes over the Holiday Weekend.
