In conjunction with CHRIS 180 Reentry Program, the Fulton County Jail graduated 9 young men, aged 18-24, from Thinking for a Change, Life Skills, Making it Work, and Matrix Substance Abuse classes. Students completed these modules with the goal to reduce recidivism.
The modules included lessons on how to avoid drug use, job readiness classes, budgeting, and how to handle conflict.
Each student receives support from a therapist and case manager that will continue to help them after release. Through the @Promise Center, those released will have the opportunity to go each day to receive counseling, help with job placement, help to reestablish their lives, laundry services, and a meal.
We believe that these men have a bright future regardless of past mistakes.
