You may be wondering why paving contractors are working on the recently constructed section of Kimball Bridge Road between North Point Parkway and Waters Road. If the road was just built, why is it being repaved?
The answer to the question is that the original paving work was rough and did not meet our standards, so the City is requiring the contractor to repave the road at their expense. This is why the final striping has not been applied to the road.
Like you, when we pay for a job we expect it to be completed well and according to our requirements. This is all the more true because our projects are funded by tax dollars that you entrusted to us. To ensure we get what we (you) pay for, we withhold substantial amounts of the total payment from a vendor until the project is completed to our satisfaction.
