The Falcons have agreed to terms with wide receiver, running back and special teams star Cordarrelle Patterson for the do-everything guy to return to Atlanta, NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo tweeted March 19.
The announcement, released recently by the team, confirms an earlier report by Garafolo.
“Arthur Smith, Dave Ragone & Co. keep a key offensive piece coming off career-highs in touches (205), yards from scrimmage (1166) and TDs (11),” Garfolo stated in his tweet.
The running back/wide receiver took to social media to confirm the deal, ESPN reports.
“ATL!!!!! I’m baccckkkkkkk,” Patterson wrote in a tweet.
Patterson made no secret about his desire to return to the Falcons, going so far as to say he wanted to finish his career with the franchise.
“F the money!!! Atl was (where) I wanted to be at the end of the day!!!” Patterson wrote in another tweet.
This comes as he joined the team on a one-year deal last season, becoming one of the “most productive offensive weapons” under Head Coach Arthur Smith, according to ESPN.
