The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have announced that Anna Boezi has accepted an offer to join their volleyball team.
Boezi is a right-side hitter/middle blocker from Troy, Ohio, who graduates high school this year, Georgia Tech reported in a release.
"We believe Anna is going to make an immediate impact on and off the court," head coach Michelle Collier said in the release. "She is learning the game at a fast pace and has a very high ceiling. We are looking forward to getting to work with her and know she will be a great teammate and competitor."
Boezi was twice named the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association's Player of the Year, Georgia Tech reported. She was a three-year volleyball letter winner and helped the Trojans capture the Miami Valley League Championship in 2019 and 2021 during her time at Troy High School.
Boezi fits the definition of student-athlete well, as she was a National Honor Society member who made the honor roll each year in high school, Georgia Tech reported. She also earned several accolades as a track-and-field athlete, having helped the Trojans win championships and setting school records.
