Georgia Tech had some big moments in 2021, and that includes the performance of women's diver Camryn Hidalgo, who won a bronze at the 3-meter board at the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships in March.
The performance not only garnered the senior All-American honors, but it was also the best finish in the history of Georgia Tech diving, where gained 356.4 points, the Yellow Jackets said in a release.
"I have never been so proud," head diving coach John Ames said. "It's not really about the history. It's about the unbelievable journey!"
Other Yellow Jackets who competed in the national championship were sophomore swimmers McKenzie Campbell and Brooke Switzer during day three, Georgia Tech reported. Campbell was 34th in the 400-meter intermediate with a time of 4:15.08. In the 200-meter freestyle, Switzer had a 34th-place finish with a time of 1:47.20.
