The 2021 City of South Fulton Comprehensive Plan is the required plan update for the City of South Fulton which is due by October 31st, 2021. This update reassesses where the City of South Fulton stands today and how it intends to grow in the future by reaffirming the community visions, developing strategies for growth, and developing a work program designed to make that vision a reality. The Draft plan is ready for your comments! What is a Comprehensive Plan? A Comprehensive Plan is a long-term document that is community-driven, which will provide a vision for the future and help to guide the growth of a community. It is a living document that is required by our state under the Georgia Planning Act. What should the City of South Fulton look and feel like in 20 years? That's the overall question the 2040 Comprehensive Plan seeks to answer after attentive, careful analysis, extensive public outreach, and engagement assisting in creating a detailed action-oriented plan to turn the best vision for the city into reality. How can we create a better place to live, work, and play in the City of South Fulton? The 2040 Comprehensive Plan is a way the city planners, our citizens, business leaders, and other stakeholders can examine where the City of South Fulton is now with its biggest challenges along with the greatest opportunities. The result will be a dynamic plan which will be reviewed by our Mayor and City Council and the final review by the State. The approved plan will guide the cities policymakers for years to come.
