The Atlanta United soccer team has renewed its partnership with tire manufacturer Continental Tire, a company that has been credited for making strides when it comes to helping the league and the sport grow in North America.

The agreement means Continental will continue to serve as Major League Soccer's Official Tire and an Official Partner to all 27 teams, according to a press release.

"We've been celebrating the culture of soccer in North America as a partner of Major League Soccer for over 10 years and we're excited to continue the partnership once again," Travis Roffler, Continental Tire's marketing director, said in the release.

Continental Tire celebrated 150 years in business Oct. 8 and in honor of the milestone donated $150,000 to Club Supporters Groups, organizations made up of MLS fans, the release stated.

"We have a deep understanding of the passion that drives this sport as Continental's soccer roots began in the 1950s with Hannover 96, a German professional soccer club," Roffler said in the release. "As we celebrate Continental's 150th anniversary this October, we look forward to bringing MLS fans along for the ride for more years to come."

Georgia O'Donoghue, Atlanta United's vice president of business operations, said the team was "excited" the partnership would live on.

"Continental Tire has shown its commitment to MLS and our fans over the last 12 years and we look forward to continuing to grow the sport in North America," O'Donoghue said in the release.

Continental's partnership with United has become one of the longest in the League's history, the press release stated.

The release also noted that the company has vowed to support Major League Soccer's Kick Childhood Cancer campaign.

Atlanta United joined the League in 2017 and won the MLS Cup in the team's second season.
