On Saturday, Dec. 6, former Benjamin Banneker High School standout Derrick Drayton’s current collegiate team the Albany State Golden Rams lost 24-31 against the Newberry Wolves in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The game took place at ASU Coliseum at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Newberry Wolves in the tournament.
